Wash Day at 6 Weeks Post Relaxer

I pretty clearly underestimated how busy I would be trying to sell one house and purchase another.  But I’m here trying to keep up my hair regimen as well as keep you guys updated on my hair at the very least.  This week I’m 6 weeks post relaxer and the plan was to do another hard protein treatment, but I forgot all about it when I started this wash day.  That means it will have to happen next wash day instead, which is fine.

Wash Day Details:

This wash day started with a coconut oil pre-shampoo treatment followed by a shampoo session using Shea Moisture JBCO Shampoo.  I deep conditioned with Silk Elements KeraMinerals Smoothing Deep Conditioner.  After air drying into flat twists for the past 5 weeks, this week I decided to roller set my hair.  And so I opted for Aphogee Keratin and Green Tea Restructurizer and Ion Miracle Leave-In Conditioners.   On the shorter front sections I used magnetic rollers and mesh rollers for the rest.  To protect my ends, I used end papers before rolling each section.  I sat under the hooded dryer for about 30 minutes and let it air dry the rest of the way.   Here are the results:

I can definitely feel my new growth coming in already, but my hair is feeling good.  It’s soft, smooth and strong, which is what I’m hoping will keep breakage at bay for this relaxer stretch.
