I’ve been a bad blogger, you guys. Not only am I behind on updating you, but I can not for the life of me remember what I did with my hair for the first wash day of week 23. I know that I did a flexi rod set again and I wore that for 5 days. I know I deep conditioned (because I always do), but I can’t remember if I shampooed, did a protein treatment or what products I used. And did I take any hair pictures? …nope. Sigh. Thankfully I was at an event where people were taking pictures all over the place, so I was able to crop some people out to show you the results of the flexi rod set (I apologize, in advance, for the picture quality). And because I have no clue what I did, I had to do (or re do) my full relaxer prep wash day before I relaxed my hair.

And there you have it, 24 weeks worth of new growth. whew! What a stretch.

Looking forward to your relaxer results, hopefully I can do a six month stretch sometime in the future
Thanks, Candice! I'm sure you can do it too.
Congrats You made it! I have been following along on your 6 month stretch and looking forward to the results. The time seem to go so fast. Love your flexirod curls. Will you do the 6 month stretch again?
That flexirod set is amazing! My hat's off to you for stretching so long girl…I never could do it! Well, not with my hair out anyway.
Hi Maxine! Thank you so much! It felt quick to me too, but I think it's because I only decided to go 6 months after I had already complete 12 weeks of the stretch, lol. Hopefully my next 6 month stretch will go just as smoothly, because I do plan to do another one.
I planned to have the update ready for you all this weekend, but I am Madam Clutz and I spilled coffee on my personal laptop. So right now my laptop is at the repair shop. As soon as I get it back, I will be posting that relaxer update for you guys. I'm hoping the blog post will be up by next Wednesday.
Thanks for commenting!
Thanks, Ebony! I was worried about getting through it without a long term protective style too, but some how I managed. Hopefully I will have the same level of patience for my next 6 month stretch.
You go girl!!! You have a lot of new growth!!
Your hair looks amazing!! So much definition. I never could get my new growth to blend with my relaxed hair no matter how hard I try/tried. There is a difference. My natural hair looks dull & coarse and my relaxed hair looks shiny and sleek. You knocked it out the park!
Thanks, Kendra!
Aww. Thanks, Jay! It really became my go to style for this stretch.
