My Haul-erific Weekend | New Buys

I threw caution to the wind and went on the search for some new hair products to try out.  I really wanted to add some products that would work well/better for my air dried hair.  Sometimes immediately after and then sometimes a few days after my air dried hair feels rough and dry.  Since I plan on air drying with more consistency, I decided to try out some new hair products that would hopefully give me softer, smoother and more moisturized hair.  For more on what I got and why I got it read below.

Here’s what I added to my stash:
Protein Conditioner
Aphogee Keratin 2-minute reconstructor
Moisturizing Conditioners
Silk Elements Kera Minerals Smoothing Conditioner
Proclaim Argan Oil Intense Hydration Conditioner
Proclaim Argan Oil Intense Hydrating Masque
Moisturizing Leave-In Conditioners
Elasta QP Olive Oil and Mango Butter Leave-in Conditioner
Cantu Shea Butter Leave-in Conditioning Treatment
Styling Gel
Eco Styler Moroccan Argan Oil Gel
Have you tried any of these hair products? What were your thoughts on them?

  1. I love cantu shea butter as a leave in and the aphogee two minute reconstructor makes my hair feel so soft.

  2. Please let me know what you think of the KERA silk elements conditioner. Thinking about buying it. Love the Aphogee Keratin 2-minute reconstructor. Just had a haul myself with Target's buy $20 or $35 get $5 and $10 respectively on hair care, etc. Was a kid in a candy store.

  3. I've tried aPhogee 2-minute which I love as a light protein treatment, it leaves my hair soft and strong. I've also tried cantu Shea butter leave-in but the scent was too strong for me so it's just sitting in my stash for now, not sure what I will do with it

  4. Please, update us after your hair wash!

  5. Aphogee 2 min is a staple. I think the cantu is a protein leave in, i used it years ago but was too heavy handy and my hair was crunchy but strong lol.

  6. Try the Cantu Leave in mixed with oils as your pre-poo treatment.

  7. I've used the Cantu Shea butter leave in cream, Aphogee 2-min reconstructor and the Elasta QP mango butter moisturizer for years. All have been repurchased time and time again. The mango butter is VERY thick and creamy but leaves my hair soft and hydrated for days. Cantu leaves my air-dried hair soft, silky and frizz-free and it's gotten me out of some very tangly situations with its amazing sleep. Aphogee I use as a light protein when am in a rush and also as a mid-step after relaxer. I hope your hair enjoys them!!!

  8. I am currently using the Cantu Shea Butter leave in cream. I love it, especially when I am close to relaxer touchup time. It keeps my hair from being so dry and brittle.

  9. I haven't tried the cantu shea butter yet, but I do remember liking the Apogee 2 minute reconstructor, so I'm looking forward to diving back into that one soon.

  10. Lol, so was I. I don't know why shopping makes me so happy, lol. But I will definitely report back on the Kera Mineral DC, a lot of people seem to be interested in that one particularly. Thanks for commenting, Kara.

  11. I don't think I've smelled the Cantu yet, but the Kera Minerals smells so delicious.

  12. You know I didn't even look at the ingredients. I just saw the shea butter in the title and assumed it was moisturizing. The butters I've used in the past have had a tendency to leave me with crunchy hair days later, but I'm hoping that's not the case with these leave-ins. I tried the EQP Olive Oil Mango butter and it has been good so far. We'll see how it holds up after repeated use. Thanks, Tomes.

  13. Hey Sammy. That is exactly what I'm hoping I'll be able to say about these products after trying them all out. I can say that so far, I'm liking what I've been seeing. Thanks for commenting!

  14. That's good to hear. I haven't tried the Cantu Shea Butter yet, but I am getting pretty close to relaxer day, so I will definitely be testing out soon. Thanks for commenting, Angela!
