Exploring the West, like Lewis & Clark

…except we didn’t venture past the state line. 😛 This past weekend Justin and I headed to the west side of North Carolina to explore the mountains and visit downtown Asheville.  I’m not a big city girl, but I’m definitely not a deep in the woods with no lights but the moonlit sky kind of girl either, lol.  Despite that I decided to face my fears and make the trek out there (and I’m glad I did).  We stayed in the historic Sandy Mush community at the Black Wolf Cabins.  We kept referring to it as our “camping” trip, but were well connected to all of the modern amenities while out in the wilderness.  Those of you “hard core” campers out there would laugh at our reference but we enjoyed it just the same.  Below are some of the pictures from our little adventure.

  1. The food was really good at that restaurant. Asheville was nicer (and colder) than I expected. I would definitely go back. Congrats again, Blutiful Blaq!
